As you all know, I’m serving as a DT member for Sheepski Designs which has Amazing Digis. You can shop for them at it’s etsy shop here. I picked up the Valentineย image for march. I just found it perfect for the CAS card I had in mind since long. This is what I created out of it.

How is it? I loved the results. And It was so easy to make too, actually image did all the wonder. I printed the image on 4*5 1/4 inch neenah solarwhite 110 lb cardstock. Then I colored it with Prismacolor Primier Pencils. I blended it with paper stumps you get in your local stationary shop. It does the blending so well. Sentiment is from Altenew. I heat embossed it with Versamark ink and finally embellished it with few hearts. Then I stick this on A2 size Red cardstock with double sided foam tape to give some dimension. And its ready to pack . But I’m not done here. I wanted to do something with envelope as well. ๐Ÿ˜› ย See..

I colored this image and fussy cut it and stuck it on envelope. Isn’t it cute? ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€

There’s more to it. You can get 10% off atย Sheepski Designsย if you use the Discount coupon code SKISHIKHA10 at the time of checkout.

Heading over to the Tutorial, it was really fun to make it.

First I took the chipboard of A4 size and pasted Neenah Cardstock on it. Then I water-colored it to give the bright rainbow effect. I kept it aside it dry. Meanwhile, I took a piece of Canson Watercolor Paper and heat embossed it with water-lifting technique. It made this beatiful Pattern. Stamp set is ‘Swirls’ from Peek-a-boo Company. I also colored 2 digis- Olaf and House, with my new Prisma color Premier Pencils. It was my first time using this pencils, so just be nice to me ๐Ÿ˜‰ . Now comes the fun part to play around with inks and stencils. I applied some texture paste here and there with stencils, inked circles, and stick digis and embossed paper as i like. Finally, I wrote the quote free hand and colored it with Acrylic colors. And tan-tana, Signboard is ready to go on my door. This is just the fun project i did, soon gonna replace it with proper nameplate. But yeah, I liked the way it turned out.

Looking forward to your feedback . And you can also reach me on my FB page or Instagram if you have any queries or comments. I would be happy to help the fellow crafters.

Till next time, Happy Crafting!! XOXO!!

Photo Frame

Hey there,

How’s everyone doing? Without much chitchat, lets move on to out today’s Post.

I made this cute little Photo frame as a Birthday gift for my neighbor’s Kid Amishi.img_0817

This is really easy to make. I got this frame, Giraffe, Crab and Letter ‘A’ from Michael’s. I prepped the surface with Liquitex Clear Gesso. Then I decoupaged it with butterfly tissue i had in my stash. Now to match it with background, I colored it with acrylic paints. Then I colored the crab and made the face with makers and googly eyes. And lastly I embellished it with some handmade flowers and leaves.

Here are some more Pics.

So that’s it. Do leave your feedback .I would really appreciate it.

Until next time, Happy Crafting. ๐Ÿ˜€

Best of Waste #1

Hey Guys,

How have you been? So I think I’m getting the hang of blogging now. That’s why I’m here with another easy tutorial today.

You might be seeing this ‘Decoupage’ technique going viral nowadays on all the social media platforms. It sound tough right? but trust me, if you follow few easy steps, you will be an expert in no time. So lets move on with today’s project.

I created this beautiful salt shaker to go on my dining table with the empty Hajmola bottle.

Look how beautiful the transition is. And its really simple too.

First i cleaned the bottle with water and wiped it with a dry cloth. Then i sanded the bottle with fine sand paper to make the surface little rough to hold the paint/gesso. Next applied the white gesso (or if you dont have that, you can use thick white acrylic paint) on the surface. I selected this beautiful Decoupage paper from Itsybitsy I had in my stash since long. Then you tear it, for the flower part. Remember don’t cut it with scissors, teared paper works better for decoupage. Now, paste each part with mod podge. I have cut small parts and covered the whole surface with flowers. Its easy to work with small parts if you are a beginner. After that, I coated another layer of mod podge over it. Now I don’t have pictures for you, but it was not looking complete to me and some white surface from behind is peeking at some places. So to cover that I dry brushed the surface at those places and the rim to complete the look. For lid, I painted it with the matching acrylic paints. Let it dry for few hours, then seal it with two coats of varnish. Poke the holes in the lid with safety pin. And your pretty little salt shaker is ready. Every time when a guest picks it up, they ask me where to buy that. Haha!! Waiting for another same bottle to empty out to make a pair of salt and pepper shakers. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I hope you do try this and please feel free to ask any questions.

Don’t forget to leave some love if you are liking the tutorial series. Your support is necessary to keep me going. see ya!!

Till next time, Happy Crafting!! ๐Ÿ˜€

Love Keyring

Hello again,

I think I’ll finish up all my pending posts today. Well, Good for me. ๐Ÿ˜€

This post is about one of my favorite technique- Quilling as that is the one through which I stepped into this beautiful crafting world. I made this keyring a while ago as a gift for my brother-in-law at the time of this engagement.

How is it? Well, the couple liked it. ๐Ÿ˜€

So here’s how I made it. I cut the cardboard/chipboard ( or any thick sturdy Paper) for base in the shape I wanted. Then I started with quilled typography technique where you take thick quilling paper and shape it into the alphabets or shape borders or anything like that. You get the idea right. I took 5mm strips as this was my first attempt with typography. Then For letter ‘A’, I cut the strips of different size and color. Put little glue on scrap piece of plastic. Pick up the strip with your tweezers and brush thru the glue on the edge. Fill the space of the letter like this until you are satisfied with the look. It takes time but its totally worth it guys. For letter ‘S’, i did multiple techniques, paper strip techniques i just told you, then beehive technique (there are n number of videos available on youtube for that) and just the stick the simple roll. in the end, i attached a key ring atthe top of ‘A’and sealed it with mod podge. Mod podge will provide it sturdiness and make it waterproof.

So there you go with the cute little gift for your loved ones.
